Project Updates

The Northland Newton Development (NND) is moving forward with major progress across the 23-acre site at the corner of Needham and Oak Streets. Designed as a walkable, inclusive, and sustainable community, NND continues to transform with construction milestones, community engagement, and new amenities taking shape.

What’s Happening On-Site

  • Construction is underway on the first 95-unit residential building.

  • Sitewide utility infrastructure and stormwater drainage systems are in place.

  • Initial roadway paving is complete across the development.

  • A new splash park was completed in June 2025 and is operated by the City of Newton. Adjacent to the Splash Park is a new community playground open to the public.

Splash Park Ribbon Cutting

  • In June 2025, we celebrated the grand opening of the splash park with a ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside the City of Newton.

  • The park will be operated and maintained by the city and serves as a new recreational amenity for residents and the broader community.
